The Gaskell Ball is the bay area's oldest and finest formal ball. If you want to experience vintage dancing to live music with elegant costumes in a beautiful 1920's ballroom, make sure to join us for the next Gaskell Ball.

Our next dance is our Spring Ball, join us for dancing, friends and laughter!
Schedule
The activities begin at 3:30pm with an afternoon dance class. This is highly recommended if you are new to Victorian dancing, or would like to refresh your memory.At 7:30, the doors re-open for the ball, and at 7:45, we have a half-hour evening dance class, with introduction to the Victorian waltz, polka and schottishe.
At 8:30, the dancing begins. There are four sets of dancing, with three 20 minutes breaks, ending at midnight.
Details
Admission to the ball is $20. The afternoon dance class is $10. The evening class is included with the admission to the ball
The dress is semi-formal, at a minimum. See the costuming page for more details.
Refreshments are potluck finger food with the Society providing both
fruit punch and ice water.
