Ready for Spring?
Our next ball is the Gaskell Spring Ball.
Gaskell Spring Ball is a chance to dress up and experience the elegance of a Victorian Formal Ball. The 1920s Main Ballroom of the Scottish Rite Center provides the backdrop for the live music by The Brassworks Band, and the ballroom dancing of Victorian times.
Please dress to impress. Jeans and T-shirts will not be admitted.
At 3:30, an afternoon dance class. This is highly recommended if you are new to Victorian dancing, or would like to refresh your memory. The class runs until 6pm.
At 7:30, the doors re-open for the ball, and at 7:45, we have a half-hour evening dance class, with introduction to the Victorian Waltz, Galop, Mazurka and Schottishe.
At 8:30, the dancing begins to live music by The Brassworks Band. There are four sets of dancing, with three 20 minutes breaks, ending at midnight.
Admission to the ball is $20. The afternoon dance class is $10. The evening class is included with the admission to the ball

Refreshments are potluck finger food with the Society providing both
fruit punch and ice water.
